Party Drink Tub – Clearance Makeover

I’m constantly on the look out for awesome clearance deals at Target and today I’m sharing one of my favorite finds – a party drink tub I picked up for $4.48 after the Super Bowl.

Clearance Drink Bucket Before Transformation

The transformation was a simple two step process. The biggest difference came from a coat of Rustoleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint in Aged Copper*. It’s a paint and primer in one, and my new favorite spray paint color. I can’t wait to add more aged copper touches around the house!

While the paint was drying, I designed and cut a vinyl image using my Silhouette Portrait*. If you’re digging the art deco feel as much as I am, you can click here to get my .studio file free for personal use.

I applied the image using transfer tape, and all that was left was filling up the tub with delicious drinks!

Thanks Ashley! I bought the smaller (aka cheaper) Silhouette Portrait because I wasn’t sure how much I would use it. But it has been amazing! And there hasn’t been anything I haven’t been able to do with it even though it is 8 inches vs 12. Of course I wouldn’t turn down a Cameo 🙂

That is an awesome makeover! I will definitely be trying that spray paint. It’s a bonus that it’s a paint and primer in one.
