Hi there New Friends! I’m Ariean, country girl, boy-mom, coffee lover…Oh, and I blog over at OneKriegerChick too. I was lucky enough to meet Melissa at the SNAP Blog Conference this past Spring and we have been chatting ever since. Seriously, she’s just as much fun in real life as she is on her blog- no kidding! I’m just thrilled Melissa invited me to stop by her corner of blogland to share a super cute, but super easy knock-off from one of my favorite catalogs…
When I was flipping through my latest Ballard Designs catalog, I came across these darling Jack-o-Lantern Lampshades. Cute, huh! I thought my boys would love them, until I looked at the price…$18.00…EACH!!
That’s when my wheels started turning and I knew I could create a similar look for less…much less. Ready to see how? Okay, let’s get started…
You’ll need orange felt, small sharp scissors, and a marker. (I used my existing lampshade)

Whoa – did you catch that price difference? Can you believe Ariean pulled off an $18 project for $0.17? That has to be a record – it’s a 99% savings! I hope you all enjoyed her project as much as I did. Make sure you hope over to OneKriegerChick and follow her so you don’t miss any of her new projects!
In case you missed it, I shared a fun fall project at OneKriegerChick last week.

that is absolutely adorable! I wasn’t going to do much more for Halloween than I already do, but I might just try this one. I only have three lamp shades to cover. love your idea!
