Upcycled Herb Garden – My Crafty Spot Contributor Post

I’ve got another great upcycle project for you today! We had a popcorn bucket from the movies that was refillable only during 2013. Instead of throwing it away, I wanted to give it new life. At the same time, our dreary weather had my black thumb craving something green to brighten up my kitchen.  The “something green” and the popcorn bucket collided in my head and turned into a little herb garden for my kitchen table!

Making an Herb Garden from Upcycled / Repurposed Bucket

I was so relieved when it turned out well, because I made the herb garden for my first contributor post over on MyCraftSpot.com. Click here to see my before pictures and how I completed this transformation!

Thanks Angela! I’ve got to be careful that I don’t become a hoarder now – I keep thinking I can reuse everything!

I eat so much movie popcorn, this would take away some of the guilt because I can reuse the buckets. Love it!

What a fabulous upcycle of something most folks would just toss into trash or recycling! I may steal this idea for a new avocado plant that I need to pot soon. I think it’s the perfect size.

This is so cute! I love to garden, and have often tried doing herbs, but…I am thinking this year, my herbs are going in cute pots! Very cute, great job!

I use those for crayon buckets, but I never thought to make the outside something prettier. Thanks for the idea!

A crayon bucket is a great way to use too. Oh, it would be so cute wrapped up like a crayola wrapper 🙂

LOVE this project! It turned out beautifully, and inspires me to start thinking of restarting our indoor herbs. We have an outdoor garden, but not in this weather! 😉 Stopping by via SITS and glad to have found your great blog!

That’s a great idea!!! I’ve been wanting to do an herb garden, but haven’t wanted to deal with a large pot… something like this would be perfect.

I love putting plants in unexpected containers. So much fun! Sometimes the drainage isn’t quite good enough, but I keep trying!

I wish our theatre had refillable buckets. It’s SO expensive! I usually bring a bottle of water and just buy Sour Patch Kids.

Yes,the bucket is amazing – we don’t go to the movies that often so it’s awesome to be able to get popcorn every time! I love Sour Patch Kids!
